How to book a Commission
Reference Photo's
It is very important that you choose a photo of the subject that is well lit, close up and in focus. It's never easy to capture a great photo and sometimes it’s not always possible if it’s a memorial portrait but please bear in mind that for me to capture a true likeness, good reference photographs are essential for realistic, detailed portraits. If possible ensure that they are taken in a good light, that they are clear and have as much detail as possible. Ideally they should be taken at eye level. Feel free to send a selection if you would like help to decide what would work best. The best photo is key as my work will be reflected by the quality of the chosen reference photo.

Payments
A 25% non-refundable booking fee will be required to secure your quote and confirm a slot in my diary (which can vary from 1 to 6 months), so please book ahead to avoid disappointment. The remaining balance is then required on completion. Payments can be made via bank transfer or PayPal.

Your Portrait
When the booking fee has been paid and a date for me to start your portrait has been agreed, I will keep you updated as to when I am ready to start and will send you with progress photos (if required) throughout the portraits journey. This allows you the opportunity to become involved in the process and see how your portrait is going.
(Please be aware that only when the portrait has been gifted, the progress and completed photos of the portrait may be shared on my social media pages in Facebook and Instagram.)

Approval
On completion you will receive the final image of your finished portrait for you to approve. Once the final approval has been made, you will be required to pay the remaining balance. All payments can be made via bank transfer.
Size permitting, every portrait will be mounted and backed for your convenience. (Large portraits that are painted on board however are too large to be mounted.)
Shipping
All portraits will be safely and securely packaged and sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery for the UK only with a charge of £10.00 to cover the costs of packaging and postage.
International or European postage will be dealt with separately and again not included in the price of the portrait. Please be aware that customs and excise may put extra charges on oversees deliveries that I cannot be held responsible for.
Once shipped you will be notified with the receipt sent to you via screen shot.
